as we seem to be doing a few reviews i thought ill pop this one into the mix

Hey Jon,

I like the site design and colours.. only thing that struck me was that the header seemed a little lacking, what with not being the same width as the body? I took the liberty of a quick copy'n'paste into Paint to show what I mean:

.. sort of fills the header out a little more (just grabbed a random image off the site for the the extra fountain image), and maybe a more elegant font for the "Leading the field in Anti-Slip Decking and exterior solutions" text in the header..?

The reason behind my thinking was that you always have to scroll down to see that text in the footer, so why not stick it in the header if it's their mission statement-type thing?

Not criticisms at all, just my personal opinion - I like the site :)
 
brave colours, Mr Rohan :D i love that green...it feels like rubbing limes in my eyes!!

i agree with riddlermarc - the header is definitely lacking. i like what he's done with it...but i'd like to see what you'd do. rob that top right flash from fluiduk's website (obviously not the same height though)...that'd look really nice in the same place as marc put that picture :)

also, what are your thoughts on your top links staying green when that page is selected. easier on the navigation side, and it's more of that green!!

i know it sounds sarky, but i love that colour...i'm going to spray my car.

on a side note...i'm in bromsgrove tonight!

sic, glad you like the green. I was hoping that the titkes would be sufficent to keep viewers informed to where theyare. I'll take a look at that.

Why on earth do you need to come to bromsgrove? :p

well, i was clicking on them, and forgetting where i'd clicked, so i thought it was worth a mention. it's probably because i know nothing about non-slip flooring, but then that makes me the lowest common denominator...what a crappy feeling :(

my girlfriend lives in Broms. otherwise, i'd avoid like the plague :p
 
Definitely agree on the header thing, it's amazing how much riddlemarc's suggestion improves it. It's always the little things :)

Looks great and I actually think the colour works quite well. What on earth made you choose it, though? :p
 
yeah, remember when Rob had brown on his site, and everyone was like "eh?! brown...don't see many brown sites..." :)
