Hey all.

Dunno if people lookin for cars lately and using go compare but it seems Go Skippy is cheaper than most insurance companies like say they do 650 others can be 750-800-900. Sometimes can be a difference of 200 till the next one on the list.

They say they have a sale on but i thought it ended end of may but it looks like its going on still.

Are they any good to pick?

I might pick em but i dunno, they ask for comp excess of few hundread on top of the vol excess i put in of 200 so if i had a accident id have to fork 450 ish vs say esure which has just the 200 vol excess.

Dunno which is better tbh, lower price but more if u need to claim or higher price but lower cost if u need to claim.

Anyone used esure or go skippy?

This is for cheap to insure cars like corsa 1.2 preferably 2008 or better with low miles say under 70k.

This will be first car, so no ncb etc.

Oh i pick comprehensive.

Just done a quote and they're at least £150 higher than my current one. Thus I'll be avoiding Skippy insurance BROKERS.

Had great service from esure. Go with whatevers cheapest and drive defensively.

I'm on my second year with goskippy. Not had any issues. And yes they were the cheapest on renewal/comparison sites.

Anyone used Sterling Car insurance?

Are they Adrian Flux just under a new name?
I clicked out for ****s and giggles - ended up on companies house. Their board of directors includes "Mrs Y Flux" and "Mr D J Flux".

So I don't know where Adrian has gone, but it definitely appears to be part of the Flux family.

Edit: For those interested, they turned over 22m last year with a profit margin of 44.86%. Decent.
Edit2: and every cent of the profit that they could pay as a directors dividend they did. £7m last year, £8m this year. I'd love to see his car collection!

Nice bit of digging there. That's a juicy payout indeed.

I went with Hastings in the end, slightly more expensive but half the excess.
