How does it work? Also how come sometimes, it wont show up on a thread that i haven't even read before, and sometimes it will bring me up to posts that I've already seen?

Is it cookie based?

I think it's stored remotely, because it works fine when I switch computers.

I think that happens when you skip pages, say you see a thread and read the op and the first few posts, then skip to page 2, when you click see first unread it'll take you to page 1. At least that's what I think you mean.
