My PC need updating and I'm wanting to know what's the good too gear to use right now.

Just 1440p gaming, systems used for nothing else.

Right now I have i7 7700k, Rx 580.

Hello

How much do you want to spend? Then the rest of us here can give you list of hardware to buy. The most expensive bit would be the Graphics card as they are pretty scarce to buy new at the moment, prices have more or less doubled since the start of last year due to things like cryptocurrency mining, shortages & demand caused by a certain bug etc.

It's not about budget. If I said 10k you would all
Spec top tear items that not really needed for gaming.
Am just asking what's the go too items right now what's classed as the sweet spot..

Is the extra £100 for the i7 over the i5 good value for gaming at this time.

I ordered the ram and ssd today. I think for the time I would just use me rx580. I know a lad with a rx6600 and he paid 380 new before prices went nuts.
The market is getting better, cpus and getting stocked back up and think gpus will be OK within 6 to 9 months the PC will be built spending 300 each payday so am OK to grab the gpu last

If you want really good value then wait a month or so till the 12400F + B660 combo is out as that should come in under £280 for both then you could put more the towards a stronger GPU.
