As title says do you go with the flow in life or plan ahead.

I find that as I get older (40 in August :() I find myself planning and organising a lot more.

Example 1 - I play football on Thursday nights and my bag is packed and ready to go

Example 2 - Back to work tomorrow and all my gear is laid out and ready.

Am I becoming an old **** or is this common ?

I have found that the best way is to find a balance between the two. Prepare for the future, but be ready to be flexible and fluid with your plans, don't be rigid in your planning. I have found this to be most successful as you don't find yourself in a mess because you haven't planned, or because you planned too much.

I'm 22 and do that now, altough about 3 month ago I would never have done so. Nothing wrong with being organised.

I just 'go with the flow' I guess. I handle life as it comes, make choices spontaneously and do work when I feel like it.

Never really been a big planner, more of a do-er.

i've found my self doing this more and more, i try and get as much as i can done and then the rest is go with the flow

Im half and half, if drunk - go with the flow, if not, plan.

I've got all my kit (clothes) ironed and shoes polished for work tomorrow on a hanger ready to go.

i used to be pretty useless at getting things done, just had mental lists of things that never got done. I then started using a task manager on the computer and find i'm much better at organising my life.
