I'm using my new laptop at the moment and it's all running great except for this annoying system 'beep' that, I believe (or always assumed) comes from the motherboard.
For example, if I change the voume slider in the taskbar it will beep and I used to live with it on my PC, but with the laptop it comes through the headphones at full volume and I'm now half deaf thanks to that.
Is there any way to get rid of it? Oh, using Windows XP Pro.
