So after never playing a God of War game before finally got around to playing the first part of God of War collection, seeing as I've got God of War III sat in the pile..

Really, is this game so over the top? Graphically for such an old game, ok remastered in HD is quite tidy looking.. But had to stop playing.. Hands hurt, its a complete button mashing fest...

First big boss I was hammering the PS3 Circle button... not only that, some levels see analogue stick waggling... My poor hands can't take anymore..

Addictive gameplay, but silly controls, way over the top. I ended up placing the pad on the floor and bashing the circle and waggling the left stick for one part - not saying which to prevent spoilers..

Crazy.. lol

Wait until you play Shadow of the Colossus then. You have to know your DualShock pad off by heart for that game as you get your fingers in a right muddle.

Then the journey of Kratos shall forever be unknown to you :(

It's exactly what you need though, get waggling and button mashing! :D

MGS2 was really bad for this as well. I remember having terrible difficulty getting past Solidus in Extreme difficulty when he was choking you.

Kids eh?

Daley Tompson looks down upon you! in all his keyboard breaking glory.

Destorying your 3rd keyboard on your 48k spectrum used to be classed as gameplay!

Don't play god of war 3 then if you thought the collection was bad for button mashing! That game is terrible, every single thing you do seems to involve mashing a button or waggling the joysticks!

lol remember the Daley Thompson joystick waggling games. I fondly remember the cycling where you waggled the joystick furiously. I too broke a few joysticks playing those types of games..

Anyhow, done a bit more God of War the first one. Graphics and cut scenes look nice, addictive gameplay, interesting story lots of meaningless button mashing along the way, huge monsters lots of destruction and all out mayhem..

Complete brain numbing all out violence with plenty of “quick, hit this button quickly’ gameplay… lol Least I’ve learnt the DS3 button layout, which is quite handy for this game… You don’t have time to look down and see where the button is… lol

Ah, gaming eh?
