Gods Next Army

Terrifying... I'm a Christian but I believe in absolute seperation of church and state. These people are starting a modern day crusade, I shudder to think what policies they'd implement if they ever got real power.

argh
it weirds me out
most fanatical religion does
but fanatical christianity and the level to which it's seen as acceptable in america is just crazy

"i take the flood of genesis as an explanation for most geology, i believe that strata and such were left at different times during the flood not over a greater period of time"

and more interns in the whitehouse than any other university?!?
havent they only been open 6 years???

george dubbya....
he might not be a graduate from there
but he's definitely from the same approach to christianity

All religious extremism is bad it goes without saying and IMO there is no reason for religion to have an effect on modern government. Just turned it over and in these few seconds, they don't seem that extreme

How many posts before this turns into a Muslim bashing thread?

Well quite, but as bad as he is for the world it's not even close to the scale these people are talking about... a government full of george bush's

This is absolutely unreal, some girl was moaning about gays and in the next scene when it was suggested the home functions better when the wife stays at home she didn't like that.

The teaching of creationism as fact, oh my!

I'm scared now.

A government full of grown up fundamentalist christians deciding the fate of the world?

I must admit to laughing at a few of the praise songs, and the way that they lost the vote. They even asked for divine intervention to win! :D

i find it amusing that this was on straight after the news which was covering i think it was a new amendment, possibly not as strong as that, but a new legal definition of marriage in america, as between a man and a woman, basically indicating there will never be equal legal backing for gay marriage

I felt very sorry for them, their whole education and outlook on life is based around a fallacy. That said, I think we must give some credit to their parents and the college for the extremely high moral standards that they try to adhere to. They are clearly hard working, diligent and focused young people who will achieve both acedemically and careerwise so that system can't be all that bad.

Any college professor or teacher that believes in creationism is immediately discredited in my book; universities are meant to be a paragon of learning, truth and the pursuit of knowledge, yet despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, they believe in that utter tripe. One other observation I made, and correct me if I got this wrong, but I didn't see a single black person in that college.

I actually agree with a lot of what they stand for but I have derived my beliefs from a purely atheistic standpoint based on praticality and humanity, not on superstition. On the scary side they were a little too republican, even for my taste. :p
