I noticed the other day that my gog games were installed to c instead of d. So I moved the directory over to d and changed the settings to install to d:\gog games. I then couldn't launch the witcher 3 (I only have one gog game).

So I decided to suck up my mistake delete the witcher directory and redownload the game with me new settings. All looked good as it was downloading on to d, once the download finished however it tried to install to c again and couldn't because there wasn't enough space.

Any ideas?

Not sure about your issue now, but if you move games to a different drive, I moved Witcher from E: to my SSD which is C:. You just move the game, add the new location to galaxy. Restart Galaxy then goto gog.com, login and click install next to Witcher 3 in your library and it will pick up the install. I had to do it this way and it worked fine.

So even though you have changed the directory to D within the settings of GOG itself as the default location it is still downloading to the C drive?

Hmmm Uninstall GOG and re-install it
