Hi,

My current rig is air cooled and in the past I've had a custom watercooled setup. I don't have any real issues with cooling at the moment but really like the look of all the modern custom watercooling kit, especially the hard plastic tubing.

I know I could opt for an AIO cooler but I really like the idea of putting the gpu under water. Its likely I'll be purchasing a 3070 at some point.

Ideally I would like to use my current case albeit a little small. I like the idea of the reservoir which incorporates the pump.

How loud are the pumps nowadays as the quieter the PC the better?

I also see its quite an art in bending the hard plastic tubing. :)

Any advice would be great.

Same with me, after seeing how far watercooling has become, I decided to plan another rig with watercooling and hardline tubing.

Looking on the pumps section on the store, most if not all are variants of the Laing/Swiftek D5/DDC pumps and from experience these are super quiet even on setting number 5 (high). Some are also PWM controlled.

The first time I started with rigid tubing I made a mess of it.. but having started again, it feels super easy bending using Bitspower PETG tubing. Try and steer away from Alphacool tubing.. maybe I”m just unlucky but I found them difficult to bend and get right Without bubbling

I've noticed a few people are using distro plates. I don't believe these were around when I last built a watercooled pc. Are they case specific?

Personally I don't care for all the RGB lights and prefer more of the understated look. My current case doesn't even have a windowed side panel. :)

The Fractal Design Define Mini C case is a perfect size for me as it fits nicely under my desk but I'm concerned it might be a bit too small.

Majority of them are case specific.. given how the Lian-Li O11D is trending, there seems to be many variants for that case... however Phanteks have released a universal distribution plate which can fit in *any* case.

Requires a rear 140mm fan mount at the back of the case

I was going to use one but they only do the 140mm version for the above and no 120mm so that would not fit in my build
