Hello all,

Ok basically heres the deal. Moved into new house, and it currently has wireless internet. However, my PC doesn't have a wirless network card and can't trail a ethernet halfway across the house. To save myself paying for a wireless card, I have an old Netgear WGR614v9 router that virgin gave, and want to use it as a wireless reciever and then connect it to my PC.

So, firstly I found out that the virgin firmware doesn't allow it. After an hour or so I managed to flash it to the generic netgear firmware, and I now have the Wireless Repeating Functions, but, now I am stuck.

I have no idea what to do next and google is proving fruitless, can anyone please shed some light on this?

Many Thanks

I've just looked at that section on my router (same model NOT supplied by virgin media) and it looks like all you have to do is enter the MAC address for the device your connecting to and assign a IP address for the router and then check the "enable wireless repeating function" and apply the changes.
