550w not doing crossfire? i reckon it would do fine.
and its a 3200 based chipset you want on the mobo for crossfire

Welcome to the forums. :)

Any brand of mastercard will do as they are all the same, only differences are the pics on the coolers, and what software you get.

The new Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire is a good board by all accounts.

Thanks guys really apreciate the advice...just one more question
Anyone with crossfire? are you glad you went crossfire..is it worth it?

it depends what game you play and what settings/res you play it at :)

I would suggest you also read the motherboard section in regards to this - especially the A8R32 and DFI equivelnat threads

There are a few people on there who have struggled with anything less than 700w psu's

I realise this is only a guide as its the number of rails and the current in said rails thats primarily important, but just trying to guilde you in the right direction.

I am thinking about xfire also but its too costly at the moment for me ( I would have to get a psu , mobo and another graphics card which would be £600- £700 before ya blink)

Thanks guys.
I mainly play bf2,css..all the big fps games. Just be nice to run games at 1920 x 1200 with high aa and af and everything completly maxed. Im not far off that now with my specs but a few games I get the odd drop here and there, and there was oblivion.

Hi i am looking to buy a master card and there are some with different speeds as stock i.e. 625/1450 which is the most common, 625/1550 and the one that interests me at the moment is 650/1450 as the core speed is where most of the performance comes from i think
