Going digital, Mode and Everdrive.

Over the years I have collected then sold 2 massive Pc Engine game and console collection's, so I recently purchased a Rerotink 5x to try on a Lg OLED65C6LA, which to be honest has blown in away.

So Terraonion Mode ordered last night (Xmas present), Pc engine has Everdrive and Megadrive and Famicon to go.

I've found out if they not infront of me I wont bother with them so here's my setup today. With Pc emulator's to boot.

Mister FPGA

Picked up a mister FPGA system today, i gotta say im seriously impressed with it. Ive dug out my old 25" CRT TV and things are playing just as they used to, after years of thinking regular emulation and mini consoles its a real cut above. Im looking forward to the upcoming Playstation core...

Discussion of FPGA (e.g. MiSTer) and other hardware reimplementation/emulation is allowed, providing discussion does not include ROMs etc.

Just got this thing about original hardware, with the £700+ with duties on the Tink and Mode already would have made more sense, and saved room.

Now I've seen what the Tink can do want a Neo Geo again, already had 3 plus a Cd then sold then all.

Theirs always that niggle of how close is the MISTer and would want the original controllers as well.

Do you own one?

Tbf as Zaf pointed out, MiSTer cannot do Dreamcast - The new MARS FPGA project is looking fairly promising though. Save your money for that!

Nice setup. You could run something like Amiga Vision on there too with a zipstik and tank mouse connected.

I tried Amiga forever years ago and it wasnt great imo but might be different now.
Speedlink comp pro didnt seem as good as an original Zipstik with an adapter. WinUAE and Amiga Vision / own Workbench setup was much better. Plus you learn more if you set it up yourself :)

Yup use WinUAE comes built in, purchased forever for the legal kicktstart etc, do my bit for the community.

GDEmu was really good and worth looking into. It was the more appealing ODE in terms of value before the prices got hiked up massively. MODE is awesome, but not sure how available it is. Plus import fees from Andora do sting a bit.

Yes, thank you. I've been eyeing one of these up for ages. Can actually buy them from the rainforest now, of all places. Also looks like a really easy mod to make.
