Going for a second run of ME2, which class to play?

I played through ME and ME2 as a vanguard, what I would like to think is the "jedi" class. A great mix of biotics(force powers) and guns(lightsabers).

I've dabbled a bit with other classes but never for very long, so I'm wondering if there is anyone that can shed some light on a class that I might not have liked initially but comes into it's own later on?

Just talking about your favoured class and why is all I'm after.

I had a quick bash at the infiltrator, on paper it sounds like the best after vanguard. I'm just wondering how the stealth aspect works later down the line, or is that not the reason to be playing one? I'm rogue daft, but I presumed a lot about it and didn't put in the effort.

I played thru ME1 as a vanguard then ME2 as an Adept! Adept is awesome with max shockwave and shotgun as special weapon! Smash 4-5 in the air and boom! Gonna run thru all the DLC now then play thru again with my adept on higher difficulty to get the achievements, then gonna play as a female infiltrator I think!

Amazing game tho! As an adept Grunt and Legion are awesome together when u get the Geth sniper rifle!

This sounds ideal and ignoring how fantastic Charge is, I would have liked to play through ME2 this way, but as it stands, it's probably a bit too close to a vanguard.

Veering off topic a bit, but does the ME2 dlc happen within the core game? I'm wondering because I just got through a second run of DA and most of the DLC was a seperate "campaign".

Full on dick-move by EA, they haven't even sold them as DLC!

Speaking of preorder items, with DA you could download them all and use them regardless of where you got the game. They don't need the server side authentication the other dlc needs. The Wicked Oath ring that steam preorders got was a great bit of kit for my second play of DA, the full cunning dagger rogue route. Absolutely bananas if built right.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. Adept and infiltrator look like the way to move forward.

I've started up with an infiltrator. I'll give it a more open approach this time, I'm still a bit tempted by adept though. But I'll try and stay away from that, it'll end up feeling like a vanguard without charge.

I just got the kasumi and shadow broker dlc, I'm sure I'll regret it when the GOTY edition lands.
