Hi just bought a few components for my new Core 2 Duo Computer and want my computer to be virtually silent.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is very quite and im very happy with it.

My two Seagate drives are........ ummm farily noisy when seeking.

Ive got a Lian-Li PC7 Case and the two 120mm fans are fairly noisy, could someone recommend me two very quite but sufficient 120mm fans?

Thanks

Hi there,

If you are looking for quiet fans i would recommend the Scythe S Flex 1200rpm or the Noctua, I bought one of each over the weekend and would rate them as better than the Akasa Amber.

Ok thanks, well ive decided now on these. :)

And about these Hard Drive Enclosures, ive got 2 seagate drives and one Raptor 150gig drive.

Are they really any good?

Also one last question im thinking about getting this IDE and FDC cable.

Becuase the IDE and FDC cable that came with my ASUS motherboard are balck and dull and they have split as well. :( out of the box :(

They are ok arnt they?

Im trying to make my case nice and tidy and quite.

I've never used one of the Silentmaxx enclosures, but others tell me they are excellent. If you've got enough drive bays then you can't go wrong.

If you can't afford 3 then you could try suspending the drives using bungee cord or elastic. This isolates the vibrations from the case, reducing noise dramatically.

Smartdrive 2002C are far better than Silentaxx enclosures, but also a hell of a lot more expensive.
