going form generic ram to corsair what would u do??

i have been offered a staright swap for my 2gb generic ram 200mhz 2.3.3.8 for a a 1gb Corsair PC3200 C2PT Pro TCCD. is it worth it. i dont really need much more than a 1gig but will it be worth it.??
