basically i have the system in my sig

I have tried to find a few reviews on google of going from 2 gig to 4 gig ram, but to no avail although most places do reccomend 4 gig to get the best out of vista.

so basically with the system in my sig shoudl i see any noticeable difference in performance ?

I normally multi task in so much as 6-10 tabs of FF open, plus say FM2008 and a movie etc running all at once.

Definitely :D 4GB DDR2 is the sweet spot for 64 bit Vista; both in my opinion and that of most reviews out there. You'll not regret the move, put it that way :)

Just got my new system which is Vista 64-bit, quad core @ 3.2Ghz and 4Gb RAM and it absolutely flies. I can't give it enough to do!

For the price another 2GB would cost and because you're playing Football Manager while switching to other programs, it's definitely worth the purchase.

The extra RAM makes a big difference. Besides, DDR2 is so cheap that there's no reason not to do it.

(I have the same setup as Beansprout, and share the same opinion of it!)

4GBz is the game for Vista, my son’s pc is 4x1GBz so we had to up his Northbridge(mch) by +0.1v, for stability so his Northbridge runs slightly hotter. My pc run’s 2x2GBz and l can’t tell any difference in performance between the two, go for 2x2GBz if you have the cash which also leaves you with two memory slots spare just in case you have to upgrade to 8GBz of memory + you can sell your Geil. Multitasking will be a breeze.
