Going from 20" to 22" (not as sharp)

Ive recently changed my monitor from a Samsung 205BW to a Hanspree Verona 22", Ive notice the font in general (also while browsing the web) isnt as sharp as it was on my Samsung, It doesnt seems as crisp and bold. Could this be due to spreading the same amount of pixels (1680*1050) over a larger area or is it simply a poorer screen?

are you using the correct drivers? Ive noticed also if im not using the highest res on my 20.1" ws its quite bad but once ive set to max 1680x1050 its fine.

Running 1680*1050 havent bothered installed any monitor drivers, doubt it would make a difference?
