Going from 6970 to 660TI

Im needing help deciding on which 660ti Im liking the EVGA oc version which is on sale on OC

I know what your saying but im wanting to go back to nvidia and with the borderlands 2 free game im sold

well if you can sell your 6970 for decent value , and can buy 660ti with a game then go ahead.

That's my plan to get rid of the ati ASAP as for a decent price who knows

The 6970 is still a great card but if you want the newer tech then just go for it

Why are you so keen to get rid of it might I ask?

The reason is that the 6970 is a very capable card and the 660Ti is horrendous value for money even with the game included. You would be better off in my view keeping it, waiting for the next generation and then upgrading.

If you must upgrade now for whatever reason then I can't see anything below a 670 being a really worthwhile upgrade. The bump in performance will be slim.

EVGA have a very good name and I have to agree with Rusty on the upgrade but your choice. Are you sure you can't dive down the back of the sofa and find the extra for a 670? This is a much better card tbh.
