Going from 8mb to 16mb

I'm with UK online, I have been for the last 3 years and i'm happy.

I currently have an 8mb connection but due to my distance from the exchange I only get around 450k /sec.

I'm tempted to go to the 16mb package - http://www.ukonline.net/premier/?sso_auth=0

Question:

Am I at my limit with 450k or is there something special about 16mb that would mean i'd get around 13mb /sec? I did their online check and they say i'll get around 13mb but then again I don't get full speed now.

Would ADSL2 be an option?

If you get <4Mbps on ADSL, you're not going to get much (if any) more on ADSL2+.
ADSL only does 8Mbps - the 16Mbps is ADSL2+.

Try removing the ring wire.

I went from 4800 sync to 8128 sync with space for more
