What used to be a UK
to a GTX 970 at 1080p. Is there any point? The only new game I will be playing will be the Witcher 3 when it comes out. Apart from this everything else I play runs fine. (I7 16 gig ram. Sandy Bridge)

The 970 is a big jump up and the VRAM will help too but I don't think a 680 will struggle at 1080p for a while, even a 660Ti will play at 1080p on "high" settings.

I suspect/hope that the 970 will eventually find its home at the £220-£230 price point once AMD finally make their move.

The true value of a 970 will show itself once the full-fat next gen games finally come in 2015, especially when it comes to VRAM requirements.
