Going from AMD to Nvidia - How to minimise problems?

I'm planning a new card as soon as new stocks arrive, i will be going from a 6870 to a 970 (i don't buy cards often, ahem). I'm expecting it to be quite a performance leap once it is in but wondered is it simple to swap between AMD and Nvidia - do i just uninstall one and install the new or is there a particular 'driver cleaner' type of program i would find useful etc?

Makes sense to find these things out in advance rather than on the fly when im eager to play with my new toy. Thanks
 
lol, thanks for the replies. I wasnt aware of any problems lying in wait for me but i was bored at work so thought i'd ask and double check.

Here's to a simpler, cooler life :)
