Hi all,

So my son's gaming machine currently has Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (DDR4-3200)

...But in my rig I have G.Skill Trident Z Royal - Now even though it says 3200 on the sticker - it actually picks up at 3600 in the BIOS and CPU-Z ...is this normal?

...second question ...would switching him to the G.Skill make much of an improvement in speed or gaming?

Thanks

No real difference. Spend the money on something else that'll make a difference like a better CPU or GPU.

Tiny amount of difference for most applications, I'm assuming gaming is the main priority so yeah not a big difference, with an X3D chip, even less.

3200 being picked up as 3600, not normal, are the timings manually set?
