Going from i7 3770k to 4770k pointless?

I have had the 3770K for 8 months now sat at 4.6GHz with an MSI MPower MB, i always get the upgrade itch when new hardware is released, but do you think the gain is minimal?

Pretty much pointless yes. If you really want to upgrade I would be happy to recycle the CPU and mobo for you.

I have a 2600k @ 4.6ghz, and I was sat pondering a haswell upgrade last weekend, along with a 780gtx for those nice frames.

Entirely not worth the money at all.
