Going from textiles to leathers

Since I started a couple of years ago, I've only ever had one set of textiles as my riding gear. However, yesterday I was absolutely drenched in my own sweat when I got home and I wasn't all that happy about it. I think the time has come for some proper leathers. Are they much cooler than textiles? I'm looking at the RST Tractech jacket as it's got perforations at the front..

i got a set of wolfsport all in ones if interested? perforated/armoured,i just dont wear them

Thanks for the offer, but I'd much rather have a separable jacket.

So I ended up getting an RST Pro Series jacket and some RST Tractech trousers.

A stupid question. When people talk about 360 degree zips do they mean like in this picture? 360 degrees makes it sound like it should start at the navel and go all the way round, ending up back at the navel.
