Tempted to go with plusnet for the cost difference but also tempted to stay with Zen as they are faultless

Question is which router should I buy to go with the change as sure the provided harness technicolour ones aren't much good?

Ah sorry, my bad! I didn't read the subject said you was moving from Zen adsl2.. :p

Either way both Zen and PN's fibre packages are great. Personally with the supplier still using BT's wholesale network your sync/speeds shouldn't be any different. LLU or similar hasn't come round yet for FTTC products.

Most of the Asus routers mentioned are all good, I would go for AC personally if it interests you.

Not true. The following providers have their own networks:

Zen
TalkTalk
Sky

Everyone has to share the same BT Openreach infrastructure. The major difference is what happens after the traffic hits the exchange. http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/hom.../downloads/GEA_cablelink_2 63349 20111108.pdf
