I have an old 5770 at the moment, I'm moving to a 970 soon :)

Any particular advice for swapping from one set of drivers to another?
(win7 64)

Is uninstalling the Ati drivers, shutting down, swapping GPUs, installing nvidia drivers - the best route?

Cheers guys! :)

I used Driver Sweeper when I went from green to red 2 years ago. I uninstalled drivers first then used Driver Sweeper. I guess that will still do the job today.

if you have had your windows installation for a long time i would just do a fresh win7 install. nice fresh and speedy!

I did a clean install always nice to start again, takes some time to get everything setup but get rid of some of the bloat along the way.

I have AMD and NVIDIA drivers installed, and don't install or uninstall anything when I switch from one to the other... :p

No issues.

FWIW I did the steps in my original post and things are working fine.

A fresh install would be perfect, true, but I don't want the down-time in the machine tbh :D

Cheers for the advice, guys! :)

Im thinking seriously about green due to a couple of issues i'm having with my 7970 (and not being able to play DCS with the DK2!).

Any thoughts on 780 or a 970? Those seem to be around the price range.
