Hell!! \m/
I have a small keypad I bought cheaply. Now I wanted to test the works on my bedroom door but who knows we might get the rest done.

We have an alarm system that was setup by electrictions. nt will be separate for now.

I need front panel that I swipe?
a tag or card?

now I need an inside one to exit?
I also need doorlocks that take strikes?

Now powering it?

4-Channel 24V Opto-isolator Relay Module w/ High Level Trigger - Blue

I know nothing on volts but that's 4x ipcams or doors right? BTW that relay module was from the US

C'MON gimmie a break its not even noon

OK I have one of these pictured, I KNOW I need an indoor one for EXIT. Would any lock do?

th

What do I need to power?

I've no idea what you are asking, so I'll just comment on the picture.

That's an RFID swipe panel, you should have some RFID keyfobs that come with it? Swipe the fob against the panel and it turns a relay on.
You'll need a press button for the inside, this also goes to the panel.

Wire the relay to a fused 12v DC supply, feeding a door strike mechanism.
keyfob now opens the door.

If the power goes off, nothing works
If the house is also on fire you'll die in your bedroom, this is not good

My recommendation remains the same:

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I would get one but im holding out for 64 cat support :p

No idea why but I found this the most amusing post of this week :D

Oh and Tony, you don't need RFID INSIDE your rooms, just a push switch to flip the lock. I mean, if someone got in without an RFID card/tag then you have bigger problems than them leaving. I rigged up an Arduino with RFID sheild controlling a maglock in about 2 hours of trial and error (reading the spec sheets so no magic smoke errors), using off the shelf parts would be a breeze for someone who isn't mental
