Going Sleeved, check this plz

Want some nice cables in my H440 case and using a HX850W PSU, have I got everything correct, noticed I have missed off a comb for my motherboard 8pin power supply so will be sure to add this. I take if the 3mm combs and cables will be compatible with my hardware including CF290x setup. The plugs that go into the PSU look as though they need a overhead clip to plug directly in or these sleeves simply used as extensions instead which will make for a lot of cabling to hide.

Only thing I would add is a second 24 pin cable comb just in case you want to add it further back the connector to tidy it up more.

Nice cables btw, I have custom white/black/white/black etc. but now I'm doing a new build with a different color scheme I have to get rid of them all, joy of it !

Mine below, not the best shot and i need to get two 8 pin pcie cables for the top card.

Once i get the new cables ill use the grommets gloser to the cards. Extensions do add a bit of bulk, but thankfully my case has a shedload of room behind the mobo tray. Corsair used to sell full sets of modular cables for the HX series as i have a pack here in blue. You do have to get an aftermarket 24 pin, 8 pin cpu and x2 pcie extensions though as theese are hardwired to the psu.

Oh, So I just plug the braided cables into the originals from the PSU and then into the hardware? Isnt this going to create lots of longer than needed cables within the case?

The extensions are simply that, you plug them into the end of the current cables. They will make cable management abit of a nightmare depending on the size of the case. The other options you have is to send your modular cables to someone to get custom sleeved or buy the following

I used blue bitfenix extensions for the hard wired cables. All the rest such as molex, sata and a pair of pcie cables were the modular corsair ones plugged directly into the hx 850.
