alrite folks!

Cousin has a MINT 360, 4 months old and hes only used it like 3 times. My auntie said she'll sell it to me for £160 because he wants a ps3 and is saving up

Its the premium console with 2 wireless controllers and a few games, one i know is burnout revenge.

should i go for it? The main reason for getting this is so i can use live. However i live in a crappy area and i have a 1mb line but only capable of receiving 512k speeds. Will this be enough for playing on live?

cheers :)

Go for it. I think the 1Mb limit will JUST be enough.

But apart from that, go to bed now, make the day come quicker, buy buy buy.

it will JUST be enough :( Doesnt give me a good feeling. See i can play any online game on the pc with my line and always get a ping of around 30/40max which is pretty good. I take it live uses a lot more bandwidth?

Can't see you having any problem in the slightest with 512Kbps internet, unless you plan on using the connection while gaming or doing loads of VoIP/Video chat ingame.

Ill probs use abit of VoIP but wont be having clan matches or anything like that. As long as i can play games and not lag to hell, i dont mind being fussy with which servers to play on, aslong as its possible to have a decent game :)

That's why I emphasised the "Just". If you're wanting to download demos, talk in-game during multiplayer and 'perhaps' download something on your PC, then I think you'll encounter lag.

But if you're having a straight game, chatting away, then the 1Mb will be fine. Don't forget, you're downstream is 1Mb and 99% of other peoples UPstream will be 512 so you'll be ok. It's the servers themselves if they tend to throw stuff down quicker, and the XBL chat channels use a seperate stream too, so you're approaching a certain limit if you try to do too much.

Ahhh right i get you now. Yea i know i wont be able to do the whole multiple download thing and that doesnt really bother me. But my download speed usually is 60kb/s on my pc and it wont get past that... ever.

will do :D Will put up gamertag etc when im all ready to roll, probs be a week or so yet, get paid friday, then ill need a router. PWNAGE :p
