Right guys im torn between the DS and the PSP im going to get it tomorrow as im working nights this week and need something to keep me busy, I like the ideao of pro evo and GTA but then again I also liked advanced wars and mario kart oh the decisions, can anyone provide me with a push in te right direction

PSP. Its much more flexible as an all round 'kill some time' system with the likes of UMD movies and MP3 player. Plus imo the games are of a better quality.

I played on a PSP the other day for the first time and personally found it terribly uncomfortable to use when playing a game (Dead to Rights in this case) and couldnt see myself enjoying it.

I'm probably in the minority there though.

I have both too and the age old dust collecting test shows the DS is the one I play more. The games are just more pick up and play kinda fun imo.

You could get that other handheld system that was posted here earlier in the week, it's just had an update. Plays DivX and Mp3 too.

Id get the DS too, had my PSP sitting here for months and months collecting dust as all thats released for it is driving/racing games, i just got sick of em.

Depends what you want ??
A pure games machine = DS
A media centre type thing = PSP

I personally don't own both (I have DS) but all my friends who have both tell the same story. PSP is collecting dust and the DS is out on a regular basis.

I vote DS !!!

As above. I own both and the DS gets much more play if its a games machine you are after, but if you want it as a mutimedia device then definitely the PSP.

PES5 on PSP was a big let down for me though so I'd and play it first if its a major pull for buying it. The lack of a 2nd analogue stick seems to be an achiliees heel considering most of the games out for it are PS2 ports, and even more annoyingly GT mobile has been delayed another 6 months.

I vote DS also.. and i have both.

PSP is only good if you dont plan to play on it much. As the games really dont seem much fun after the first few days. And UMD movies are just expensive and pointless.

Plus the DS Lite is out now and looking sexier than ever!

Vote for the DS, gets used more often then my consoles.

My little bro got a PSP for christmas, but he's hardly touched it, he's been borrowing my DS all week, playing Mariocart online.

I've got a PSP and would thoroughly recommend one. Much as most people on forums seem to be very fond of Nintendo games, I've always had trouble getting into them (and I do own a GBA and Gamecube). I took this into account when buying my handheld and am very happy with it. Make sure you get Lumines though if you do get a PSP.
BTW, this is my first post on OcUK so hello everyone.

I own both and the DS has blown me away with the quality games recently. The PSP seemed to just stop after GTA came out :(

Has anyone got any RPG's on the PSP? I noticed a few when I was buying Burnout and some of them looked pretty decent.
I've noticed Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire 3 are out or will be coming out shortly I think.

Personally I'd say similar to what GSXRMovistar, it's how I decide every console purchase. If the games look appealing, I buy the console. In the case of the recent handhelds the DS was what I went for but that's because I liked the look of many of its games as well as future releases like the Final Fantasys and Xenosaga. But doesn't mean the PSP isn't good at other things too. :)
