Going to get a new game...which out of these? Fahrenheit, age of empire/emipre at war

I went toa friends house and saw him play empire at war.
I didn't really play the game so this next statement will seem a bit stupid, but I just didn't like the feel of it while watching him play it.
You build stuff from space itself so when you get right down to the planet, it's what you have and what re-enforcements you can call in and attack with that.
For me at least, one of the best parts of RTS games is the building up of bases and an army, not just have an army waiting for you to go and attack with. Although that is fun sometimes in certain missions, for me at least, a whole game of just that isn't fun.
I love the building up of your bases :D

I am thinking of trying a new RTS game :)

The starwars one really looks interesting, something different I guess :) am going to download the demos tomorrow of starwars and aoe3 hopefully :D

why? I played AOE2 (i admit not as religiously as some) but if i had to pick one to play out of the 3, its would be AOE3.

great for online play if you got a mate to play with on Voice comms.

Far too complicated, with AOE1 you could just set up resources and go off to build a war machine.

I think AOE is a victim of it's own success, they have tried to keep adding to it and done it harm in the process :)

I would say so :) It's certainly worth the money.
I paid £30 and still thought it was well worth the money :D

bah I downloaded the starwars demo and am bored already :(

I guess it's a bit of a niche sort of thing, be good if you're into starwars, I guess the last RTS game I played was warcraft3 tho :)

The inspace combat got a bit wierd, a lot of sitting back and waiting for stuff to happen, watching the tiny ships flying in circles shooting at eachother.

I also noticed the demo launcher seems to try to read every process on your computer  , not sure if it's for some sort of cheat protection or something  was a bit surprised tho.
