Just before I do I thought I'd ask one question.

Apologies if its already been asked but I see the resolutions 1920x1200 and 1920x1080. Could someone clarify for me, is the 1920x1200 the one to go for or is there nothing in it?

Its between these two :

If 1920 by 1080 is a worthwhile option then I have a few more choices to consider.

Slightly different aspect ratio, the former is 16:10 and the later 16:9 HD spec. There are a few threads about arguing which one you should go for, and I think in general if you watch a lot of HD video then 1920x1080 is more suitable as the resolution fits so no black bar on top/bottom of screen.

But if you just use it for normal PC tasks/games 1920x1200 would give you more desktop space. There's also talks that games support 16:10 resolutions better but from my experience I found that's simply not the case.

Cheers dude :)

Out of interest, does the higher res you go the lower the refresh rate? Atm on a 22.2" at 1650x1080 I get 75hz.

Thanks.

It's more about the panel and quality of the make than resolution :-)

16:10 is much better for computer use (we appreciate vertical height rather than horizontal) - 16:10 for high definition video and keeping costs down for the company making the monitor. It's essentially them telling us it's part of the HD revolution and us telling them they're trying to make more screens from the same amount of panel.

Yeah, I'll still get the bars, don't mind them though. The 1920x1200 won out in the end, shouldn't think it matters that much either way.
