Unfortunately work has placed me back in Kuwait. I went there last year for 3 weeks and I'm leaving this Saturday to do another 3 weeks. I have a few questions that hopefully someone can anwser on the off-chance.

1. I do weight training and want to take my tub of protein powder, is this ok to put into my luggage? What about other food like tins of tuna?
2. Last time I was out there I had my visa credit card but sadly this time I don't. Do they accept Maestro? I read somewhere that all the ATM machines that accept mastercard accept Maestro. Is this true?

Thanks

Why don't you buy tuna there?

I'd put protein powder in a resealable plastic bag instead of a tub, simply so there is less chance of it going all over your stuff.

I'd rather take my tuna as I have 30+ cans at home, will there be an issue with it going through the airport?

The tub is pretty tight, no chance of it unscrewing in my case.

You need to find out what the rules are on importing and exporting of foods into and out of Kuwait. I think you'll find if you get caught, all they will do is conviscate it from you! Whoever suggested putting Protien powder into a clear plastic bag clearly hasn't travelled anywhere in their life! Get stop on a random check and your stuffed! You try explaining to the guy who doesn't speak english what your clear plastic bag full of white powder is!!!

Yes they accept Maestro, not everywhere but most normal shops will. You will be charge a lot though and the rate won't be competitive.

Don't bother taking tuna, it is cheap there.

They sell protein powder too, but if you must take your own, put it in your hold luggage.
