Going to Munich today, what to do?

Definatley go see das glockenspiel in the centre m8, plus you need to visit a bierhalle to at least sample some awesome bratwurst and sauerkraut with bread pretzels :D hmmmm

Apart from that.... and shopping.... not too sure.... i dont remember much after we visited the third bierhalle..... :S

hofbrauhaus is definately worth a trip (or several, got some good memories of being in there with a load of aussies whilst knocking back litres of beer).

BMW museum?

Dachau concentration camp?

uhh, hmm. Deutsches museum is pretty good too.

edit- regarding where to stay, when I was there I slummed it in a hostel, my dad usually stays in http://www.summithotels.com/hotel_horizontal.cfm?id=20948& when on business there though.
 
Olympiastadt is worth a visit

Market square has bags of wurst & ale going on - nice on a cold day

Check out their Chicken Donner Kebabs - they bring a new meaning to the word kebab

Oooodles of sex shops - get in there my son!
 
If your'e going with your bird, you have to go to Romantic Road.....The castle that inspired the Walt Disney Castle!

Very nice place to visit, and not too far from munich
