i mean seriously. ATI have raved on about performance etc and my score from Vista (5.9) has only gone up 0.1 in Win7 (6.0). I hope these drivers are sorted soon so i can get to atleast 6.1

I mean wehat kind of jump is that. grrrrrrrr :D

but seriously, it proves what a waste WIN7/Vista performance index is.
 
What!? a Performance rating in Windows 7 certainly wouldn't be something I'd rate my graphics cards power on :p
 
why not. it's clearly a trusted source of information. i mean i always guage my computers performance by it's index score in vista/win7 ;)

i mean i can avergage 80+ fps in Crysis yet only hit 6.0 in Win7 :D:D
 
My 5850 gets 7.8 in windows score on 7 so i guess its just not showing yours as i would imagine it to be more, but i wouldn't bother what it said in that tbh its a load of carp.
 
thats my point really. my solid state drive only got 6.0 on the first run it did. now it gets 6.8. quite funny really cos i have a friend who loves to tell me what his score is and thinks it's ace. hmmmmmmmmmmmm
 
Benchmarks should be enough of a resource for a products quality, there is little to no dispute that the 5870 is the current fastest single card gpu on the market.

The fact that people need an operating system to post numbers up based on a 3 minutes evaluation is crazy.

I'd kill for a 5870, they are insanely good cards, end of.
 
haha. well ur obviously jokeing!! windows scorings are rubbish, haha. but if u dont like it. ill buy it off you :P hehe. being a sapphire it would go perfect with mine! my sapphire would like a brother. haha
 
My GTX 295 got 7.9... and my Crossfire 5870's get 6.0 with two sets of drivers... Fail.

My whole system used to get 7.7 for CPU and 7.9 for everything else on Win7... trust ATI to ruin it ;)

But seriously, i couldn't care less about the Windows Vista and 7 scores, they're so unreliable.
 
crossfire doesnt work duno about sli, i get the same score be it 1 card or two.

i get....

Processor - 7.6
Ram - 7.6
Gfx - 7.4
Gaming Gfx - 7.4
Primary HDD - 7.0
 
Processor - 7.7
Ram - 7.8
Gfx - 7.7
Gaming Gfx - 7.7
Primary HDD - 5.8 <<<< Failer hard drive waiting to get my SSD.

yes definitely joking. couldn't care less what the scores are tbh. I'd rather see ati tune the drivers for games rather than a win7 score.

and i'm sorry but there is no way this bad boy is going anywhere :cool: :D

My 5850 scored 6.0 when I first ran the assessment again. I ran it again a few days later and it scored a 7.0. I installed Windows 7 64 bit (the release) and it scores 7.7 :D
