Today I just received my second 6800 GT, made by leadtek, decided I'm going to have a play with SLI, but the question is, will it run ok with my current xfx 6800 gt ?? Or do they both need to be from the same maker for SLI to work ??

Bit silly asking after you bought it? :p But not to worry, because afaik you can mix/match brands as long as they are the same core/board

Well there is method in my madness, the XFX card I think is poorly, but before it dies totally I want to have a play with SLI, there might not be anything wrong with it, I usually end up panic buying stuff if I think something is going to fail, but I've always wanted to try SLI anyway.

The Leadtek card is huge, makes the cooler on the xfx look really small !!

Not really worth two 6800 GT in SLI.

would have been better to get a 7900 GT instead.

Sadly I don't have big pockets like some people do on here, so I have to comprimise with older kit.
