...and squeeze some juice out of this, upgrading in February so wanting to practice a bit of OCing. I've read up on the basics etc. and IIRC the Athlon 64s were reasonable for getting at least a bit of extra power out of it. Now my board is a GA-K8NF-9 with 2 x 512mb basic crucial value sticks in it, so obviously I don't expect too much, but I was wondering what sort of clock i'm likely to squeeze out of this? Got a freezer 64 on it too btw.

this is what I'm getting with prime 95 running:

So any further tips or info (apart fro mthe stickies ;) )appreciated

Any info is better than nothing :) I know Intels are different to AMD in the process, but i've never OCd anything in my life yet (although I feel bad for admitting it ;) ) but any practice is good!

Aye i'll probably give it a go tonight, puity when I bought mine they released the venice cores, i believe, about 3 weeks after >.< unfortunatly I couldn't have waited sooo hey. Even if I can squeeze a little out of it it's better than nothing. :) I'll have a go tonight and post back some results.

OK well I tried tonight, managed to get it stable at 210 x 11. tried 215 x 11 and it just hung before POST. I know temps weren't an issue, was less than 45 still while stress testing. I lowered the RAM to run at 166 mhz, and the HTT to 4x. I assume thats right and the board/chip/RAM sucks like I thought, if not and I have missed something then please let me know :)
