Well, I got confirmation on my final grade I am happy to say I got a first-class degree :D

And I kept my A or above grades over the 4 years so I was pretty happy about that lol.

I have now been hired as an IT engineer for a massive Aerospace company.

I mostly wanted to post here to show that even if you think you can't do it or are afraid, give it a go you never know how far you will get.
My wife and I have said many times I thought I would not make it past the first 6 months.

And finally, thank you for my Previous posts for your help and support I very much appreciate it.

Thank you, everyone :)

Excellent and I bet just like my youngest daughter you worked 5x harder than everyone else and handed in A* assignments.
I always had it in my mind my work wont be good enough compared to my peers so I need to try harder just to have a chance of passing.

I am now self-studying and improving on what knowledge I gain at university so I can apply for more range of positions later.
Thanks.

****** up my GCSE's, so never did the Uni thing, not that it was ever an option for a North East council estate lad. As i got older, i re-did my GCSE's and also realised that having a degree opens previously closed doors and would also be huge for my own personal development.

At the age of 42 i also got a First. There was also a few residential modules, dang! it made me wish i had done Uni properly the first time around!

Fantastic achievement and well done :)
Nice one, yeah just having a degree opens many more doors even if you don't have on-the-job experience.
Once you have gained some real-world experience you can expand your options.

Thank you.

I think I also did well at studying because I have done lots low paying jobs and I know what it's like to struggle with not much money and with a family of five I wanted my kids to have a better childhood.
I know money doesn't solve all problems but it can help when you can pay your bills on time and have some left over to take kids outs for a day trip.

I and my wife never had much education and she also went to university a few years before I did, her final year was my start year and we both came out with a first-class degrees now.
So now we both have good jobs earning over double from our previous jobs and this is only the beginning of our careers.

Well, I had my graduation ceremony, and I got my degree; it was very nerve-racking walking on stage.
This was my final part of the university, and I feel sad about it because it was such a significant turning point in my life.
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and support, this forum has the best group of people.

Love it! Brilliant stuff. Just shows what hard work and determination can achieve. You should feel extremely proud of yourself.
I do and it's nice to show my kids you can do it if you really want it.

I was stupid at school and didn't even bother to try, only went to school to see my mates.

GCSEs where a complete failure but I managed fine and got into IT, worked my way up and now head up an IT department for a pharmaceutical company, If I can hit a 6 figure salary with no grades anyone can.

Good grades help you skip all that crap at the beginning but they are not a requirement.

Congrats on the grades and job
Yeah looking back I wish I did more learning when I was younger, but now I study all the time lol.

Well done!
Thank you.
