going to upgrade my pc, should I use my sound card

Hi ive got an X-Fi Music in my pc at the mo, is it worth sticking in my new m/b or just going with the on board 7.1 sound on my new m/b?

Would I get a performance boost from my card? :confused:

Try with and then without. If you cant tell the difference smash the pc up and buy new ears.

On board sound is quite good these days but you xf-fi may be slighly better if you have a decent sound system. I use a decent pair of head phones when gaming and the x-fi card I use does give a marked improvement over my on board sound.

thanks mate, i use 5.1 medusa's not the usb version. I recommend them to anyone.
