Golden Eye : Source Out of beta!

Looks like fun. How do people find it, playing with randoms over the internet? I'm a bit concerned about it feeling cold.
 
Good news, been playing this on and off for a while, great mod, does the original justice. Will give this a try later, thanks for heads up.
 
I got it the other week, its very nicely polished but i find shooting a bit odd, takes too long to kill and feels like luck half the time.

The most fun i've had was in a one shot kill deathmatch server, though the rounds were too short.

I was wondering if the ocuk server could be setup similar as its a lot more fun, something like dm or tdm only with 5 to 8 minute rounds, one shot kills, player and weapon/ammo respawn times down to 1 second, call it action deathmatch! :p

Please try it, i think its much more fun with a game like this.

If I get some time I'll probably set up an extra server with rules like this. I also want to change the 'main' ocuk server to force TDM type mode once you hit 12 players. I chatted to one of the devs a week ago about the server setup and he had some pretty decent suggestions on how to do stuff.
 
I find 4.1 very difficult to get used to now. I used to play a while back but this version feels more clumsy and inaccurate. Shame.

Cool, i would really like to see it, i think it would end up being quite popular, one of the things i kept seeing complained about were short rounds, i reckon an action dm/tdm server would work best if it had mainly smaller maps on rotation, dm would be best but mixed dm/tdm is good as well, im not keen on having purely tdm when the server is full but understand if thats what you think is best.

I just got it today and it does feel abit clumsy but for a free game i think its absoulutely brilliant i play it for at least a half hour everyday
 
Okay, new server rules configured and new server running:

LinkTart GES BigFight
Standard server rules with auto teamplay in effect once the server hits 22 people.


LinkTart GES LTK
License to Kill always in effect. One hit kills on all weapons.


I'll look to customise the second server a bit more with weapon respawn times, round times, etc. This is assuming that anyone actually plays on the GES servers any more...
