Golden Stepping?

Damn, looking at the packaging looks like i missed out by a couple of weeks, FPO states it is a L632A stepping.

If i have to reseat my HSF at any point will have a look and double check on the heatspreader.

Oh well, cant complain, nice o'c for the price, shouldn't need to upgrade for a while yet, well not the CPU neways

I wouldn't be too annoyed. They were still a mixed bag although they were all respectable clockers. I bought two and they were both identical steppings. They were mid 2006 KAB2E's but mine seemed to hit the AMD K8 wall around 2.9GHz 1.4V and took around 1.55V for 3.0GHz. :)

I could boot into windows all the way to 3.1GHz but I couldn't stabilise it.

I've got a 29B E6300. Have had it all the way down to 1.1V at 2.8GHz :)

I had a CABYE 0540BPMW that was good for 3.1ghz on air :D

I've got one of these at home I'm sure of it,

think its an opty 146 CABYE 0540BPMW
and another which I think is a 144 CAB2E 0540BPMW

both bought from OCUK,

Both did 2980mhz stable at 1.45v on my old ASROCK Dual sata 2, which under volted so was more like 1.39 v!

I think i need to put them in the my new DFI RDX 200 and give them more juice and see what they do ! Mobo can supply 2.0volts so might have to do a killer run ! would 3.2ghz be unheard of on air ?

This is my project for the weekend !

Killing an opteron ! as they're not really worth out anymore.

cabye 0543fpmw opty 148 did 3.6 stable under phase for me @ only 1.52v ...great chips

my 27B 6600 @ 3.78ghz 1.38v under water aint no slouch either :p
