Goldeneye: Source Beta 4

Some of you maybe delighted to know that Goldeneye: Source is now in it's fourth phase. We're talking more maps, more guns, more characters, better visuals, and a much more stable and solid build. For those of you that are gutted about not having a Wii, this maybe for you.

As a quick review, I'll share some of my thoughts. I've spent a bit of time playing, and it's an absolute blast. All of the music you remember (which is actually excellent), all of the characters (I've been playing as Oddjob! ) and the maps are there too. But the best thing is, that even without all of this epic Bond nostalgia, you would still have a solid, enjoyable first person shooter.

You can go into 'aiming mode'.

Trying to connect to the server, but can't!

Just leave it to play through, don't press anything. But if you do press a button, press escape but don't click the mouse.

It just isn't showing up... Weird.

It's probably something to do with the intense firewall I'm trying to connect through, here at uni. But I've never had this problem before.

Can you connect to any of the other GES servers?

Yeah, all the others are working a treat.

Might give it another go one day. Are there many servers to play on now?

I remember when I used to play that there were only a few decent amount of players/good ping ones up and running.

It starts to pick up in the evening. Only three or four servers to play on, but you're pretty much guaranteed a good laugh somewhere.
