Hi All. As there were a few positive responses for a thread like this I thought I will create one and if it is not very active we will go back to the single golf thread. I understand being winter there wont be as much activity due to all you "FAIR WEATHER" golfers out there!

So if you are a member of a club in the UK I'm sure you will already be aware of the howdidido website which I believe most clubs use to manage their handicap, results, competition entries and other information. If you have a howdidido page then post it below and I will add it to the top post so people can follow each others 'official' progress if you wish. This however does not mean you cannot post unofficial scores etc. Everyone is welcome as not everyone who plays golf is a member at a club so let us know how your wet, cold, windy Sunday went on the course.

zakjattaway: Handicap - 8

esK`: Handicap - 20

[ASSE]Hinchy: Handicap - 12

stuie: Handicap - 10

So to kick things off...

A pretty windy weekend for me. Had the Christmas Fayre on Saturday, shotgun start teams of four. Best 2 scored from par 3's, best 3 scores from par 4's and all 4 scores from par 5's. We come in with 106 points which was 2 better and come 4th. Each won 3 bottles of wine and a box of chocolates. That's helped out my Christmas shopping list!

Then played our 2nd winter foursomes match on Sunday and left with a healthy 6and5 win. I would say as far as winter golf weekends go that was a success!

Nice Stuie. I started the year on 16 and my goal was to get to single figures. The lowest I got was 9.7. Does that count? :D Got 2 more stableford competitions this month so I am hoping I can make it by the skin of my teeth!

Still having issues adding further links onto the top thread. Hopefully I shall figure it out so I can add everyone's.

Dale its not been long since I last played Sweetwoods. Its a great course in the summer and the greens are always in top condition.

So Saturday I had another winter foursomes match which was interesting. We were 1up through 9 and ended up winning 5up with 5 to play because the other person walked off in a strop. Wouldn't shake our hands either. I see him in the clubhouse yesterday and he apologised but it wouldn't change my opinion of him too much!

Sunday I had a charity event winning nearest to pin, longest drive and also holed out after the longest drive for eagle. Unfortunately the rest of the round was shocking and come in with 29 points haha!

Then lastly had midweek stableford yesterday and shot 36 points with 4 3 putts in the mix! Devastated as that could have got me into my single figures for the end of the year!

Update: I have removed the links to personal profiles so I can add more people to the top post. If I see any handicaps that have improved I will update is manually for the time being until I can fix the issue. In the mean time we could just go to the links each of us posted.

As for the weekend of golf, it was a great weekend for me! Normal swindle on Saturday and won with 36 playing off of 4. The team also won the front nine so I was up £17 on the day. Yesterday was my last day to get my handicap to single figures which was my aim for the year and shot a 43 pointer playing off 10. Howdidido have cut me to 8.3 so I would say that's a success to the end of the year!

Anyone use Golfshot here?

I used to use golfshot all the time. The main reason being it was really easy to track your stats and see what part of your game was lacking. I also used the GPS for a while however I don't find this accurate enough to feel confident over the ball. When I got the rangefinder I stopped using the GPS but carried on using the stat tracker.

Its that birdie that makes you play again Stuie!

Played a few rounds in aus which was strange. Playing approach shots into greens with Kangaroos chilling around them haha. Was a shock to the system coming back to sub zero temperatures. Playing Sat and Sun with 27 points through 16 Saturday and then the course closed due to for. 30 Points on Sunday which was satisfied with!

Disappointing weekend of golf. Only managed to get to the range as the course was closed Saturday and I avoided golf on Sunday because I didn't want to turn up early and find its closed again. Fingers crossed the weather picks up soon.

Nice. I definitely like the Blue but I would have liked for them to make the Volt colour a main product for their drivers. Nothing like a bright yellow stick in the bag!

Played 9 holes this weekend and was a steady round considering I couldn't get my driver going. 17 Points from the 9 so I will take that with the weather we have had to deal with.

A pretty steady weekend of Golf having not played a great deal recently. Stableford comp on Saturday shooting a 34 off of 8. Then Sunday shot a 32 off of 3. Long irons and fairway woods seem to be letting me down recently which is putting me in some silly positions but I feel some good scoring coming on soon!
