Another thing to consider with bunkers is how hard/soft they are.
If they're nice and fluffy then yes. open the face and use the bounce of the club. Aim around an inch before the ball and don't decelerate through impact. Trust the loft.
If the sand is compacted and firm then I always treat the bunker like the fairway. If close to the green I use a simple wedge swing or if I'm further back then a full swing.

Oddly there weren't too many standout shots/holes but actually some level of consistency. In the first 9 I started with an 8 (had an absolutely terrible first hole, wasn't expecting much after that) and the next 8 was the 9th hole, I usually rack up way too many 8's (we cap to that). Got a few more on the back 9 unfortunately but still, best score on that course and 3rd best score overall, good times
