Golf V5 beyond the fail thread

Slow? I suggest you look at the stats v other cars of the time with similar setup. It's comparable to them.
Shoe horned? Guess it was shoe horned into all the other cars it made it's way into then given the equal size of them all.

Not seeing a whole lot of Golf V5 non-love from people in bangers myself, personally? Mind you, even if there was, are they not entitled to an opinion because they cannot afford a better car?

I love the assumption that anyone driving around in a cheap car can't afford anything better.

There's a Civic Type-r around here that looks otherwise completely standard and the exhaust looks pretty subtle too. But the noise it makes is obscene, I've been behind it in traffic a few times and had to turn up the volume of my music because of the drone even with the windows closed. And when he drives past when I'm walking to work, I most definitely think 'chav'

Civic Type-R's are meant to be loud:p

Where is that assumption? You are way off the mark - I drive a cheap car, remember.

I'll expand for you. If somebody drives a cheapo banger because they cannot afford a decent car, they are still entitled to an opinion on better, more expensive cars. Why shouldnt they be? It's only when somebody spends proper money on a rubbish car that the decision they made clouds the opinions they hold.

You know, like, if somebody bought a 1 year old Kia Rio and then comes into a thread calling Clio 172's rubbish ;)
