Previously had a Samsung 65" JS9000 curved TV with a Q-accoustics speaker setup and a Yamaha amp. It was a nice setup but the TV was starting to show its age with light bleed at the sides and it took up a lot of space in the lounge.

Here is the old system:

By moving to a wall mounted TV with a soundbar plus a floating TV unit we would regain a nice bit of space and make everything look modern. Missus is a huge F1 fan so an easy sell to move to a 75" screen and after measuring everything a 75" would fit perfectly on the wall. If I can't go to the cinema at the moment I will try my best to bring it to me!

Went for a Samsung 75" 2020 Frame TV, main reasons are it comes with a zero gap mount in the box and the one connect box with the thin cable as standard. I didn't want to do any plastering at this stage so the small single cable is a great solution. The missus also liked the idea of the Frame displaying works of art when not in use and I must say it works really well.

Soundbar is the Sonos Arc which sounds fantastic but I am thinking of getting the separate sub woofer to give it a bit more ooomf! Very pleased tho so far.

The TV unit was from Wayfair, easy to fit and also hides the cables well. I don't have a socket on the wall so I have had to get power from another socket and route the cable under the carpet and then up to the unit. Looks a bit unsightly but you don't notice it when watching TV.

Very pleased so far and I am sure I will be making tweaks...

Looks good

I myself has also been trying to think of a way to get rid of my Black Glass AV stand as it takes up to much room and is starting to look old fashioned these days.

Very nice...looking forward to getting my CX up on the wall next week. I don't like TVs dominating the room and wall mounts are a great improvement.

These skirtingboard covers should help you with your cabling issue. I used them to good effect in the office to get power to a side of the room that had no sockets.

Hmm I think that would stand out even more.

If you want discrete cables, you have to do it properly, and that can take a bit of time and cause some mess.

I would spur a socket to behind the floating unit to power both the TV and the soundbar. I would then look at putting some conduit into the wall between the soundbar and the TV for those wires. The gap doesn't look too big so shouldn't be a huge job.

Looks great.

We are looking to build a fire into the wall and mount a TV over so will be in the market for new TV and soundbar when the time comes.

How was the arc on its own? We will mainly be watching Disney and Netflix. Reviews seem great.

I always worry about TVs above fires - whether electric, spirit or gas. It surely cannot be too healthy for the hardware to be in the convection currents of a fire?
