Hey peeps,
I have a 2600k at the mo and was looking at putting it in the new corsair 900d case with the 100i water cooler. Now, I really want to get a Haswell and just go the whole hog but I'm worried that with Haswell E (which I cannot afford so it is not an option) having DDR4 my build will have a very short life span. Can any of you fine fellows shed any light or give valid opinions on why this is/is not the case? Thanks in advance :)

Save the money you would do upgrading now and keep saving for what 15 more months until haswell-e comes out? Then buy that. Otherwise if you cannot afford to do that, then pointless wasting money on haswell now is it not?

Only reason to go haswell now is if you doing it for the fun and money ain't a issue.

By the way I am assuming you have your cpu clocked at 4.5GHz at least.

Yep, 4.8ghz. Think I will just get the case and cooler then for now and get a bit more outta my SB. Still kind of want one but it's stock will plummet once DDR4 is out wont it.
