Hi all,
my son just bought a GTX790 and now wants a 144MHz 24" monitor for better gaming i guess.
He also wants to run 3 monitors; which the card will allow, but the other 2 screens are standard 60Hz 25" screens/TV's.
His gaming will all be done on the 144MHz screen with other stuff like email/gaming server/stuff sitting on the other 2 screens. (Don't ask, its just what he wants...he's paying)

1. Are there any issues with such a setup that anyone can see?
2. £200 budget for the 144MHz. He's not bothered about the nvidia 3d vision. Any recommendations please?

Thanks for any advice.

Do you have a price point?

I have the BenQ XL2420Z running on 970 and I think its brilliant.

The Asus VG248QE is also a popular choice. Not much between them. BenQ seems to have a little better colour reproduction.

There will also be no problem running the different screens with different refresh rates/resolutions.

Thanks, yeah as above, approx £200. I was looking at the Asus, i like their regular monitors. That said, i have plenty of BenQ monitors too.

edit: the BenQ looks sweet! :)

Sorry, completely missed the £200.

If was doing it again I'd buy the Asus or the slightly lower spec BenQ XL2411Z, they are both much of a muchness. A bit more than your budget, but if you have had Asus or BenQ monitors before then you know you're getting what you pay that slightly extra £30-£40 for. You can't go wrong. 120hz/144hz gaming is just fantastic.
