Hi Guys,

For three reasons I want a new gigabit switch. The first being that my current one can't really get past ~85MB/sec it seems, two it keeps dropping connections after waking my computers up and that I need more ports!!

Any ideas on a decent one? (Currently a TL-SG1008D)

I'm running a server off it with Round-Robin link aggregation enabled, so perhaps a 802.3ad enabled switch might be nice? I use it as a backup server and I also stream 1080p content off it so I regularly saturate the switch.

Ideally around the £50 mark (so not really going to get a LDAP enabled switch for that?), but willing to go up to £100 and not afraid of 2nd hand.

So OcUK network gurus, advise!

Cheers

The HP 1810 series is probably the cheapest that you will find that does LACP (LDAP is something different).

Not quite in your price bracket though, there is a 8 port version available for ~£60, 24 port is ~£140. There isn't a 16-port option.
